The cool thing about the jQuery vs. React debate is you can always find a YouTube video on the subject. Or 3.

Not to mention the other endless argument is React vs. Vue.js.

Vue looks promising. Way less baggage than React or Angular, which is always a good thing in my book.

We’re finally finished removing jQuery from http://GitHub.com frontend. What did we replace it with? No framework whatsoever:

• querySelectorAll,
• fetch for ajax,
• delegated-events for event handling,
• polyfills for standard DOM stuff,
• CustomElements on the rise. – Mislav Marohnić
