PHP-Markdown Integration

What’s the prescribed method these days for using Markdown in the admin side for writing content? I’ve searched, but only see old stuff, and it looks like txp-markdownlib (otherjoel’s GitHub project) might be the way to do it these days. What’s the consensus?

And this is offtpic, I’m sure, but can anyone point me in the direction of someone I can talk to or something I can read about converting docs to markdown? I saw there was a need, but I didn’t want to just go charging in without having a better idea of where things were headed.

Re: PHP-Markdown Integration

There is a plugin for that… : wet_textfilter_markdown.

Install from them .txt file as usual, enable it and then you can select Markdown to write your articles on the Write tab. You can even make it the default option (Admin > Preferences > Publish, the select next to Use Textile)

And for converting docs, see the Pandoc project. It’s ace.
